Groups are flexible organizational tools that let you create custom team structures. Think of them as dedicated spaces where specific team members can collaborate, communicate, and coordinate their work. You can use groups for targeting tasks, or for creating common chatrooms.

Creating groups

When creating a group, you'll first choose between two privacy levels:

  1. Public Groups: These are open-door spaces where any team member can join freely. They're great for organization-wide initiatives or when you want to encourage organic collaboration.
  2. Private Groups: These are invitation-only spaces where you, as the administrator, control membership. You'll need to manually add or remove members, making them perfect for sensitive projects or specific departmental work.

Group features

Every group comes equipped with three core features:

  • Task Management: Each group has its own task list, encouraging members to sign up for group-specific tasks and shifts
  • Member Administration: You can easily add or remove members as needed
  • Group Chat: A dedicated chat room where group members can communicate, share updates, and maintain ongoing discussions

Pro tip: create groups with a locked chat room for ongoing announcements or other admin-only updates.
